BMW Brilliance's profit rose by 39.9% over January to June of more than RMB 7.1 billion

In the first half of 2017, BMW's total sales volume in China accounted for more than 60% of total sales, which directly led to the sharp increase in profits of the joint venture company BMW Brilliance. On August 25th, Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Co., Ltd. announced its interim results for the first half of the year, in which BMW Brilliance’s net profit contribution to the Group increased by 39.99% from 1.918 billion in the first half of 2016 to 2.668 billion in the same period of the year. BMW Brilliance’s net profit was 5.336 billion yuan, and profit before tax reached 7.114 billion yuan.
In the first half of the year, the completion of the expansion of the BMW New Dadong plant completed the launch of the new 5 Series Li Long Wheelbase medium and large cars and the new 1 Series sports car. This year, the cumulative sales volume of domestic models reached 185,000, an increase of 30.1% year-on-year, and the pretax profit of bicycles exceeded 38,400.
From January to June this year, the sales volume of BMW Brilliance 5 large- and medium-size cars Li was 59,200, the sales volume of the 3 series cars reached 63,000, and the X1 compact SUV and 2 series wagons sold 42,000 and 0.84 million cars, respectively. . With the launch of the new 5 Series, BMW's sales in China in the second half of the year are expected to increase further. In the future, BMW will introduce more domestic models such as the whole new generation X3, and BMW Brilliance’s profits are expected to continue to grow.
