The number of petrochemical projects under construction in Iran has reached 70
Uladi, manager of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Corporation’s State Planning and Development Department, said that the number of petrochemical projects under construction in Iran has reached 70. The designed capacity of these projects is 67 million tons, with private capital participating in the investment, with a total investment of US$50 billion.
Uladi said that since the rise of the Iranian petrochemical industry to 1368, a total of 5 billion U.S. dollars worth of investment have been completed in this area; during the third development plan, this number has reached 27 billion U.S. dollars; during the fourth development plan, Iran Completed $14 billion in investments in the petrochemical sector. In general, from the period of 1342 to 1389, Iran completed a total investment of 46 billion U.S. dollars in the petrochemical sector.
Uladi said that after the petrochemical project under construction is put into operation, the annual capacity of Iranian petrochemical industry will reach 100 million tons.
